Featured product
A pair of tall, slender figures in brass, a man and a woman, each cast whole and freed from its mould by hand. The folds of their clothes and the lines of their faces were laid in wax before the casting.
Tall and narrow, they hold a shelf or a console side by side, with room left around them.

MATERIALS AND CRAFT ORIGIN
THE WORTH OF A PIECE
Its worth is in the years of effort and patience it took to master the skill, and the generations who kept it alive.
Every piece is priced by the depth of its craft:
Rarity: the number of makers who still carry the craft.
Process: the stages, days and skill it takes to bring a single piece from raw material to finished form.
Material: natural stone, clay or fibre, often drawn from the land around the makers.
Age: how long the tradition has survived, for centuries and in some cases thousands of years.
Handwork: the hands a piece passes through, from shaping to finishing.
Origin: a GI tag where granted, India’s legal mark of where a craft belongs.
The maker: every price is set so the artisan is paid fairly for their mastery. A cheaper version of the same shape usually means someone was paid less, very often the maker.
